Before deciding on a real estate agent you'll want to have a short interview with several of them. You'll want to ask them some questions so that you can make the best decision you can.

One of the first things you'll want to ask them is to provide you with names and contact information from past clients. Ask them right up front if they've had any complaints and if they had, what did they do about them. Ask how long they've been in the business, what price range of homes they usually deal with and whether they are knowledgeable about the neighborhoods you are considering. A good question to ask them is how many homes they have listed or sold in the last six months.
