The neighborhood is where you will be buying if you are a buyer and its where you are going to be selling if you are a seller. The key thing is to pick a good real estate agent who is knowledgeable about the neighborhood.

Every neighborhood is different and not every real estate agent is familiar with your neighborhood. One way to find such an agent is to look at real estate signs in the neighborhood. If an agent has a listing in a neighborhood there is at least a possibility that the agent knows more about the neighborhood than an agent who does not. This method is not foolproof because there may be agents available who just don't happen to have a listing at the time you're looking.
